Chicago had it's most deadliest day since 1991, according to the Chicago crime lab.
With over 18 people killed the day broke the previous record of 13 murders in a 24 hour period. Even worse, the murders took place during the Black Lives Matter protest which ironically, gives many racists a reason to say Black Lives don't matter to Black people.
'We’ve never seen anything like it, at all,' Max Kapustin, Crime Lab senior research director told the Chicago Sun-Times of the number of fatal shootings on May 31.
Chicago continues to embarrass the Black community as gang violence never takes a day off. Chicago is the city that racist point to whenever they want to make Black people look like animals that function in society. Although there are citizens of Chicago that absolutely despise the gang violence and bad image that it gives the city, I can not help but point out that for some reason there are those who love the gang culture and embrace the word "Chiraq" as if being compared to Iraq in wartime is a badge of honor.
Chicago has been called "Chiraq" for far too long, and it is a shame that a city with some much history and prestige has sunken this low. Being labeled Chiraq is nothing to be proud of and it is even more embarrassing that I would even have to state so.
