After being locked in their homes for the past two months, many Americans have begun to feel a sense of hopelessness and depression. Many have lost their jobs and maybe on the verge of losing their homes. After being told to "stay home or die" most people obeyed the stay at home orders. And then the George Floyd murder happened and the stay-a-home order went out of the window.
The Floyd murder has literally made people forget about the pandemic.
People all over America have gathered together in large crowds to protest the unlawful death of George Floyd. But what it makes it all interesting to me is the fact that these people were just scared to even go outside just a few weeks prior to the protests. When the college students went to the beach in Florida they were villified and condemned by mainstream and media as well as regular folks online calling beachgoers irresponsible and some even wished death upon them.
All of a sudden, the same people that were blasting people on social media for even thinking about doing anything other than staying at home, are out in the streets standing right next to one another with no social distancing whatsoever.
It really makes you wonder if these people were even being sincere about their covid fears or was it just that some people love that feeling of having power over others.
Some even went as far as to call the police on their neighbors when caught having semi-large gatherings.
What the protests have proved is that people are hypocritical by nature. People are nothing but sheep who believe any and everything that mainstream media tells them. During the pandemic, people picked and chose what they wanted to be afraid of. For example, everyone was afraid to go to work but nobody was afraid to go to the grocery store. Weird, huh?
In the end, we all end up at the same conclusion, at some point, America has to be reopened. The idea of going a whole damn year locked down is complete bullshit. The media can hate Trump all they want to but he was right in what he said America can not be locked down for too long. It was a nice try by Fauci and the gang but it failed. And despite what Bill Gates thinks, Americans will not be forced to take your patented vaccine. Nice try though.
While the Trump administration has been busy trying to justify placing so-called Black extremist groups at the top of the FBI's most dangerous terrorists list, the real terrorists in America are exposing themselves every day.
In West Virginia, a group of correctional cadets gave the Nazi salute while posing for a class photo.
NBC News reports the Nazi salute began two to three weeks into training as one that the cadets have described as a "sign of respect" for an individual identified as "Instructor Byrd."
Instructor Byrd told investigators she was unaware of the “historical or racial implications of the gesture” stating that it was just a greeting.
"As I said from the beginning, I condemn the photo of Basic Training Class 18 in the strongest possible terms," Governor Jim Justice said in a statement.
"This kind of behaviour will not be tolerated on my watch in any agency of state government."
BBC reports the cadets have been fired.
What's important to point out is how embolden racists have become over the past few years. Some may think that the Nazi salutes mean nothing in the grand scheme of things but the fact that Trump is openly calling for a civil war makes this a dangerous situation.
